October 11, 2009 PJ Church of Christ Bulletin

SERMONS:
We thank brother Chong Fatt for the excellent sermon on "Concerns About Commitment" at the Combined Worship last Lord’s Day. This morning our minister will preach on "Always Leave A Light On" from the pulpit. Do continue to invite your friends and loved ones to attend all our church services.

SUNDAY BIBLE CLASSES:
This morning, brother Shane Lopez will continue to teach the second part on "The Characters Of Jacob And Esau" in the Adult Bible Class downstairs. The Upper Youths Class will study on "The Problem Of Employment" in The Christian’s Everyday Problems series. Food For Thought: "Some workers are good; some are poor; and some are medium. As Christians we should seek to excel as employees, business owners and executives, and professional men and women. All other things being equal, the Christian should be a better worker than the person of the world." Please bring your children and loved ones for all of our Bible classes for all ages.

FRIDAY BIBLE CLASS:
This coming Friday, we will continue the Out Of This World series on the topic "If You Would See Good Days." Consider: "One who uses the tongue unwisely is always in trouble of some kind – trouble brought upon oneself. The evil-speaker destroys the confidence others may have had in him/her. People in time learn that a liar, or a gossiper or talebearer is not to be trusted, and therefore is not worthy of loyal friendship. It takes a person a year to learn to talk, and sometimes takes a lifetime to learn when to do it." Join us in our series/discussions at 8.00 p.m.

DVD MOVIE MATINEE:
Come and join us in our DVD matinee this Saturday (October 17th) at 4.00 p.m. where we will watch the excellent DVD "The Inn Of The Sixth Happiness" which portrays the inspiring true-life story of Gladys Aylward, an English parlor maid who became a missionary to China and led 100 homeless children to safety across enemy-held terrain during Japan’s invasion of China. Discussions follow after the DVD movie.

FLORAL DISPLAY LIST 2010:
The Floral Display List 2010 is out and pinned on the Notice Board. Please jot your names legibly on the list for the Sundays you want to bring flowers to display in the church auditorium. Thank you so much for your kind cooperation.
