November 8, 2009 PJ Church of Christ Bulletin

SERMONS:
We thank our minister for the excellent sermon on “You Reap What You Sow” at the Combined Worship Service last Lord’s Day with brother Steven Tham as translator. This morning brother Goh Kim Hua who is back from his UK graduate studies will bring forth the sermon on “One Body, One Mind” from the pulpit. Do continue to invite your friends and loved ones to attend all of our church services.

SUNDAY BIBLE CLASSES:
Brother Shane Lopez will teach the second part on “The Character Of Joseph” in the Adult Bible Class downstairs this morning. The Upper Youths Class will study on “The Problem Of Self Imprisonment” in The Christian’s Everyday Problems series. Food For Thought: “We can build for our occupancy castles of liberty or dungeons of confinement. It seems preposterous that free people would imprison themselves, but millions have. The prison bars we have forged deny us the liberty to seek and find the richer and fuller life of confidence, courage, achievement, success and happiness.” Please bring your children and loved ones for all of our Bible classes for all ages.

FRIDAY BIBLE CLASS:
This coming Friday, we will continue the Out Of This World series on the topic “Surprised People.” Consider: “In this world the righteous are plagued on every hand by those who have little desire to do right. Justice demands a time and place where the righteous will be free from the heartache and persecution heaped upon them by the wicked. God has provided such a place: heaven.” Join us in our interesting series/discussions this week at 8.00 p.m.

EMAIL RECEIVED:
Tim & Sandy Larson writes from USA : “…You and the PJ church are in my prayers daily… I love getting the weekly bulletins so that I can keep up with the church. I sure miss the Agape dinners. Sandy and I talk about them all the time. It is so special that the church continues to pray for my uncles. David is pretty well healed from broke ribs and sternum and continues to regain his strength. Gary is truly a miracle to just be alive after breaking most of the bones in the left side of his body… and is mostly recovered without any major surgery… Al who is the oldest has had the toughest time. He had a broken pelvis, hip and knee as well as back problems. Then he developed an infection in his bones that took months to heal. He will have a knee replaced … They are a continuing reminder that God answers prayers. I hope that you all will know how much it has meant to Sandy and I, Gary, David and Al and the rest of our family to have the prayers of the PJ Church… I will be praying for you. God bless you and the PJ Church.”
