|SEPTEMBER 3RD, 2017 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
We thank bro. Jayson Leong for his thought-provoking sermon on “Are You a Friend of God” at our Combined Service last Sunday. This morning bro. Robert Hoo will bring forth the sermon on “What Jesus Said” (John 2:1-11). Do bring your loved ones/ friends to worship with us every Sunday.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Brother Wong Wee Loke will continue the study in the series -- “Strengthening Your Grip”. This morning’s lesson is “On Money”. Food for Thought: “Money in itself is neither good nor bad; it is simply dangerous in that the love for it may become bad. With money a man can do much good; and with money he can do much evil; with money a man can selfishly serve his own desires; and with money he can generously answer the cry of his neighbour’s need. With money a man can buy his way to the forbidden things and facilitate the path of wrongdoing; and with money he can make it easier for someone else to live as God meant him to live. Money brings power and power is always a double-edged thing, for it is powerful to good and powerful to evil. .… You have money? Release it, don’t hoard it. Be a great-hearted person of wealth. Let generosity become your trademark. Be generous with your time, your efforts, your energy, your encouragement, and, yes, your money. Do you know what will happen? Along with being enriched, knowing that you are investing in eternity, you will ‘take hold of the life that is truly life.’ You will go beyond ‘the good life’ and enter into ‘the true life’. There is a vast difference between the two. (I Timothy. 6:18-19 NIV).” Please bring your children punctually for the Sunday’s Children/Youth Class to be taught the Bible every week.

MESSAGE FROM BROTHER ONG CHONG FATT:
September 03rd: Dearest Brethren, It was wonderful to meet up with San Tin who drove up from Nashville (3½ hours’ drive) to visit me in Memphis yesterday. We went to Elvis’ Graceland and The Pyramids where we did some shopping there. I am glad he is doing well in USA and insisted to pay for all my meals while here. Talked about old times while he was in Malaysia. We worshipped at the Cordova Community COC this morning where they have invited me to preach next Sunday on “The Great Nevertheless of God”. Met Dr. Eddie Randolph who visited me in Penang almost 30 years ago. Surprising how we bump into folks from yesteryears. Will attend the Abilene Lectureship midst of this month, and the Harding Lectureship the following weekend and visit Shane/Sigang Lopez in Calgary, Canada the next weekend. Hope to drive to visit Lee Ming Paul in British Columbia from there. Please continue to pray for me in my sojourn and Sabbatical here. OCF
