|SEPTEMBER 17th, 2017 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
We thank brother Robert Hoo for his inspiring sermon on “What Jesus said” last Sunday. This morning brother Allan Hoo will bring forth the sermon on “Will the Son of Man Find Faith on the Earth?” (Luke 18:8). Do bring your loved ones/ friends to worship with us every Sunday.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Brother Wong Wee Loke will continue the study in the series -- “Strengthening Your Grip”. This morning’s lesson is “On Integrity”. Food for Thought: “In our world, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know that usually brings about a promotion. But in God’s world, it’s what you are, not who you know. It’s what you are in your character. God saw fit, because of integrity in Daniel’s life, to move in the heart of King Darius to plan a promotion. .Notice his extraordinary spirit. The Berkeley Version of the Bible calls it a ‘surpassing spirit.’ (Daniel 6:3). The marks of integrity: 1) An excellent attitude 2) Faithfulness and diligence at work 3) Personal purity of the highest calibre 4) Consistence in his walk with God. You have the scalpel in your hand. Self-examination is now up to you. It is not only a good idea, it’s a biblical imperative, “But let a man examine himself… if we judged ourselves rightly, we should not be judged” (I Corinthians 11:28, 31).” Please bring your children punctually for the Sunday’s Children/Youth Class to be taught the Bible every week.

MESSAGE FROM BROTHER ONG CHONG FATT:
September 08th: Spoke at the Harding School of Theology’s chapel on the work in Malaysia yesterday. Then drove to visit Don and Ann Green (former missionaries to Ipoh in the 70s and 80s) who brought me out for a great sumptuous Chinese buffet luncheon. Had wonderful chats and reminiscences of old times. Will preach at the Cordova Community COC this coming Sunday. Looking forward to the ACU and Harding Lectureships in Abilene and Searcy the mid of this month. Spoke for a long time over the phone to Akinde Oluminde last night who is now working in New York. He has two kids now. Great to talk with him. He misses Malaysia and the PJ brethren. Been doing a lot of good readings in preparation for the three classes I am auditing. Spend lots of time in the library. Great classes. Keep in touch!. OCF
