|October 1st, 2017 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
We thank brother Wong Wee Loke for his edifying sermon on “Answering Life’s Questions” last Lord’s Day. This morning at our Combined Worship brother Jayson Leong will bring forth a sermon on “Do Not Limit God” with brother Joel Tan translating. Please stay back after services for our Agape Feast Luncheon this afternoon. Do bring your loved ones/ friends to worship with us every Sunday.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Brother Wong Wee Loke will continue a lesson “On Discipleship” in the “Strengthening Your Grip” series. Food for Thought: “A genuine disciple ... comes to that place where no major decision is made without a serious consideration of the question, “What would the Lord want me to do?’ as opposed to, “How will this benefit me?” … If we have learned even the most elemental truth of discipleship, we must know that we are called to be servants of our Lord and to obey His Word. It is not our duty to reason why He speaks as He does, but only to carry out His orders. Unless there is this dedication to all that we know He wants us to do now, however immature our understanding may be, it is doubtful if we will ever progress further in His life and mission.” Please bring your children punctually for the Sunday Children/Youth Class to be taught the Bible every week.

MESSAGE FROM BROTHER ONG CHONG FATT:
September 28th: Dearest Brethren, It has been almost three weeks I have not written but have been keeping very busy in books and classes. Been traveling the past ten days for the ACU Summit in Abilene, Texas; HUT (Harding University Tahkodah) where more than 850 University students from the different Colleges/ Universities gathered for the Global Mission Experience in Tahkodah, Arkansas (spoke to encourage missions at the Camp Fire talks) – very encouraging to see our next generation committing to missions; Harding University Lectureship where brother Hogan hosted me at his house in Searcy, Arkansas; Heritage Christian University in Florence, Alabama where brother Hogan was the keynote speaker at the Diakonos Meeting, and also visited the T.B. Larimore Home, one of the more reputed Restoration Leaders. Also visited the historical Mars Hill Church of Christ around the vicinity. Saw and bumped into many folks I knew who visited/worked in Malaysia from yesteryears. Visited Ken’s grave marker at Elmwood in Abilene with Estelle and Steven Gaines. Posted lots of photos in Face Book yesterday and today. Both the ACU and Hardin Lectureships were great with well-known speakers like Landon Saunder, Don McLaughlin, Alan Robertson, Rick Oster, etc. etc. Tried to resist but purchased many books and DVDs. Brother Hogan did not allow me to go to the Harding Bookstore for fear that I would buy more books, Ha! Tomorrow morning I fly to Calgary to visit Shane and Sigang Lopez and will be there eleven days while HST students have their mid term exams. Things are great with me. Faculty, staff and students have been most kind and friendly. Really has been a wonderful Sabbatical thus far. Another two months to go before I return to Home Sweet Home. Please do continue to pray for me and my safety. OCF.
