|JANUARY 14TH, 2018 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
Our minister will bring us a message on “Down Life’s Dead-End Streets” (Genesis 22:1-12) from the pulpit this morning. Please continue to bring your colleagues, loved ones and friends to worship with us each Sunday.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Brother Chong Fatt will continue the new series on “A Study of the Nature And Work of the Holy Spirit” in the Adults Bible Class this morning. Food For Thought: “The Holy Spirit is a distinct person and is active in all the ways of a personality. The Holy Spirit is not a glorified “it,” neither is He a mere influence. He is not an impersonal and vague force, and He is far more than the mind, temper, or disposition of God or Christ. The Holy Spirit is a divine person. He has all the marks of individual personality and is always spoken of, like God and Christ, in the singular number… Throughout the Scriptures from beginning to end, we see God, Christ and the Holy Spirit as divine beings living, speaking, acting, influencing, blessing, reconciling, transforming, loving and glorifying…” Please bring your children punctually for the Sunday Children/Youth Classes to be taught the Bible every Sunday.
AGAPE FEAST LUNCHEON COLLECTION:
Our collection for the first Bi-Annual Agape Feast Luncheon Collection last Sunday was RM3422.00. Anyone who would like to top up this collection to help defray the monthly catered luncheons for the first six months, please give your contributions either to the Church Treasurer, brother Wai Keong or any of the church staff. Thank you so much for your kind generosity.

“Refuse self-pity. Refuse it absolutely. It is a deadly thing with power to destroy you. Turn your thoughts to Christ who has already carried your griefs and sorrows.” (Elisabeth Elliot).
“When God would make a pearl, He allows a grain of sand to hurt the oyster. When God would make a saint, He buries a sorrow in the life.” (George E. Failing).
“How could history record victories if there were no battles? How could we define light if there were no darkness? How could we describe a mountain if there were no valleys? How could we appreciate shelter if there were no storms? How could we enjoy a cool drink if there were no thirst? How could there be faith if there were no doubts? How could we hope for glorious resurrection if there were no grave?” (J.K. Gressett).
“As trees must be pruned, gold refined, grain sifted, and pearls polished, so the Lord tests and tries His children that they may develop their true potential and reflect their Maker’s glory.” (George Gritter).
