|JANUARY 28th, 2017 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
Brother Chong Fatt will bring us a message on “What Would Jesus Do?” (John 1:29-42) from the pulpit this morning. Please continue to bring your colleagues, loved ones and friends to worship with us each Sunday.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Our minister will continue the exciting series on “A Study of the Nature and Work of the Holy Spirit” (4) in the Adults Bible Class this morning. Food For Thought: “God in a real sense dwells in those who are His children. This is the promise of the Scripture. The fact that we cannot see, hear, feel or emotionally experience this indwelling of the Holy Spirit in a physical way does not negate the promise of God. We know that God dwells in us because the Bible tells us so... The indwelling of God, Christ and the Holy Spirit is not something that can be known through emotional experiences; it can only be determined by the criteria set forth in the Bible…. There should be no difficulty in accepting the personal or real indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul declared that the Holy Spirit dwells in the Christian body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). This is the argument he made to the Corinthians against immorality. The Christian body is holy because it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. To use the body for immorality is to desecrate the temple of the Holy Spirit… The understanding that the Holy Spirit dwells in a Christian does not create any theological problems in regard to the free will of man or the non-miraculous working of God in the world today.” Please bring your children punctually for the Sunday Children/Youth Classes to be taught the Bible every Sunday.
