|MAY 6, 2018 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
Our minister will bring us a message on “We Must Obey God Rather Than Any Human Authority” (Acts 5:27-32) at our Combined Worship this morning with brother Steven Tham as translator. Please stay back for our Agape Feast Luncheon immediately after our church services. Continue to bring your friends and loved ones to attend all of our church services.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Brother Chong Fatt will commence a new exciting series on “A History On Christian Worship” (6 series in DVD) on “The Word” (Part 1) with class discussions in the Adults Bible Class this morning. Food For Thought: “Worship has spanned over two thousand years and included a long and diverse history of sacred practices, as seen through the eyes of Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox churches. Viewers will discover the significant people and events that have shaped history and learn how some modern worship practices are rooted in the earliest foundations of the Christian faith. In today’s lesson The Word, we will explore how the written and spoken word consisting of Scriptures, sermons, and creeds, has celebrated God’s story throughout centuries of Christianity, including what early church documents reveal about ancient worship, why influences such as the printing press, dramatically changed how Scripture is used in worship. how great preaching movements of the church have influenced the development of sermons, and why creeds are an important tool for teaching the essentials of the Christian faith.” Come join us in our Bible studies at 10.00 a.m!

Our ‘red-carpet’ welcome to our honoured brethren: Kuan Soo Lai (Singapore); Brian Bird (Perth, Australia); Lim Ming Ai (Kuala Trengganu) Gordon Chiam & Louis Ong (friends of Ku Chun Lian) and our regular visitors who worshipped with us last Sunday. Please come Back Again!
