|MAY 13, 2018 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Our minister will bring us a “Happy Mother’s Day 2018 Message” (1 Samuel 1:1-11) from the pulpit this morning. Next week, we will have a guest speaker from Australia, brother Gregory Wenck who will teach and share the Word with us. Continue to bring your friends and loved ones to attend all of our church services.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Brother Chong Fatt commenced the wonderful exciting new series on “A History On Christian Worship” (6 series in DVD). The topic this morning is on “The Word: Creeds and Sermons” (Part 2) with class discussions in the Adults Bible Class this morning. Find out “What early church documents reveal about ancient worship practices and why many churches are recovering and continuing these ancient faith practices today? Why influences such as the printing press and the translation of the Bible into the language of the people dramatically changed how scripture is used in worship? How great preaching movements of the church have influenced the development of sermons and homilies? Why creeds such as the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds are an important tool for teaching the essentials of the Christian faith?” Come join us in our Bible studies at 10.00 am!
OUR HONOURED GUESTS:
Our warmest welcome to our honoured brethren: Brian Bird (Perth, Australia); Lim Ming Ai (Kuala Trengganu); Franklin, Ann and their new born baby James and our regular visitors who worshipped with us last Sunday. Please come back again!
