|JUNE 10, 2018 PJ CHURCH OF CHRIST BULLETIN
NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Brother Chong Fatt will bring us a message on “The Discipline Of Fasting” (Matthew 6:16-18) from the pulpit this morning. Please continue to bring your friends and loved ones to attend all of our church services.
SUNDAY ADULT BIBLE CLASS:
Our minister will continue the series on “A History On Christian Worship”- Ancient Ways, Future Paths (6 series in DVD) - “The Feast” (3) on The Lord’s Supper (Part 1) with class discussions in the auditorium this morning. Questions for Thought: What early church documents and practices teach us about how the Eucharist is celebrated today? Why the feast of the table is called by different names: Eucharist, Communion, The Lord’s Supper? What the different methods of celebrating the Eucharist are among various Christian traditions? Join us in our interesting Bible studies.
OUR HONORED GUESTS:
Our warmest welcome to: Mdm. Pritam & Mdm. Shindie (relatives of brother Krishnan from United Kingdom); Miss Jeanne & Gavin; Mdm. Lai Lee Chin (Debbie’s sister) and our regular visitors who worshipped with us last Sunday. It was good to have Daniel & Angie Hoh back from Ipoh in our worship service last Sunday.
MOULMEIN CAMP/ YOUNG ADULTS CAMP:
NEXT SUNDAY: For those who have registered for the luncheon for the Moulmein Camp, REMEMBER to be at the Straits Ballroom West at the Holiday Inn Melaka for the Combined Worship with Dr. Rubel Shelly (Professor of Philosophy & Religion at Lipscomb University) as their key-note speaker on the theme “Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit” on June 17th at 10.00 a.m. sharp. For those PJ brethren/visitors who are not joining the Combined Worship, we encourage you to attend the Chinese Worship (translated into English) which will be conducted by brothers Jayson Leong & Joel Tan at our usual worship times. The Young Adults of Petaling Jaya, Puchong and Wangsa Maju will have their short camp/Getaway at Homestay Klang this coming weekend (Hari Raya weekend) with the theme: “Breaking Barriers.”
